INDUSTRIAL MODERN

Metal, copper, concrete, wood, plaster….All elements found in an industrial modern space. This design style combines the dusty warehouse with a modern-low slung space full of raw materials and hues of charcoal—-charcoal gray that is.  ‘No-fuss furnishings’ is a must and keep the focus on the texture. Think RAW and avoid anything too shiny.  Make it interesting with recycled or salvaged architectural items to add character.  Tell the story of the space!  Here’s a couple of tips on how to bring Industrial Modern home….and a few personal favorites!

1.  Select one wall for a ‘wow’ statement…but focus on texture not just color.

2.  Don’t mask the integrity of the space….let the raw authenticity play center stage. Pay attention to ceilings, windows and  floors and let furniture be an accent not a primary design element.

3.  Add personality. A chalkboard wall is a personal fave for adding a bit of ‘whimsy’ to an industrial design.
