THANKSGIVING – A VIEW FROM ABOVE

Yep, it’s that time of year where we start seeing turkey’s everywhere….And soon we will be enjoying the infamous ‘turkey coma’ from the vantage point of the sofa!  So before this happens, let’s take a look from ‘above’ at some cool tablescape decor for inspiration.  This year I’ve decided to spend more time enjoying and less time fussing.  Perfection is boring, get creative with your table and let it reflect something fun about you or your family!  xo PO

1.  Yes, Anthropologie can even do Turkey Day in ‘homegrown’ cool! But if you dissect the table, it’s actually pretty simple–different colored napkins, a bowl of mixed fresh fruit and various things askew on the table–notice how the colors tie together effortlessly?

2.   An architectural take on Turkey–the example below looks like framed art, contemporary and cool!  Love the deep burgundy, eggplant colored flowers against the white. Hint: no napkin holders please–fold or just lay on the table like the other 364 days a year:-)

3.   Love how this table combines the kids and adults, a great idea for a small gathering.  So casual and organic–and perfectly imperfect.
